BHQ-3 Dark Quencher, abs 620-730 nm; 3' Modification

The 3-BHQ3 modification adds a non-fluorescent Black Hole Quencher®-3 (BHQ®-3) dye to the 3’ end of an oligonucleotide. 3' BHQ-3 labeled oligonucleotides are used in a wide array of applications, including dual-labeled fluorogenic probes for real-time PCR. The BHQ-3 dark quencher has strong absorption from 620 nm to 730 nm, which provides excellent quenching of fluorophores that fluoresce in this range, such as Quasar® 670 and Quasar 705 dyes.
