Biosearch Technologies uses the ISO family of internationally recognized Quality Management System standards as the framework for organizing, evaluating and improving our work. Compliance with these standards is assessed through extensive regular audits performed by qualified registrar agencies. Successful audits lead to certification of the company site’s management system to the applicable standard, valid for three-year intervals.

Commercial grade ISO 13485 custom synthesis

Our commercial grade oligos are manufactured under a quality management system that is ISO 13485-certified for all applicable medical device regulations. Clinical laboratories developing their own in vitro diagnostic (IVD) tests or manufacturers of commercial IVD assays can be assured that we will deliver quality product, labeling, service and support.

Expanded multi‑site manufacturing

Biosearch Technologies has more than 150,000 ft2 (14,000 m2) of state-of-the-art oligonucleotide manufacturing space including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 oligonucleotide manufacturing operations in Denmark and the USA. We continue to invest in proprietary synthesis instruments and infrastructure at multiple oligo manufacturing sites, providing expanded production capability and synthesis scales, risk mitigation, manufacturing redundancy and surge capacity.

Our manufacturing expansion endeavours in 2020 and 2021 boast the following highlights

  • 4,800 ft2 (446 m2) ISO 13485 lab space added at our Petaluma site to focus on large-scale oligo manufacturing, providing up to millimoles of purified product per batch
  • Relocation of our Denmark site to Lystrup, DK, added 19,357 ft2 (1,800 m2) of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 lab space (6,611 m2 total space), representing a 200% increase in oligo manufacturing capacity in Denmark
